I’ve now read about 3 different books on kiruv, because I wanted to know the truth about Judaism, and I’m chocked how much distorted and twisted the evidences for Judaism, they bring, are.
I could summer up about 10 different arguments, which are just factually incorrect. As an example I heard the argument that the Gemara knew the exact same amount of stars as we know today. This is though very wrong.
For a person who is keen about becomming religious, those books are just as candy and music to his ear. I’ve though nowhere seen a website which lists up all the false kiruv arguments and demolish them one-by-one. I would really like to see that on your website.
I can also help you regarding this, since I’ve collected about 12 different arguments from those 3 different books and found a real answer for them.
This is the most important thing, since this is what draws people closer to the religion.
Every interested secular jew has his doubts before going into the orthodox society, and those doubts are cleared away with those foolish arguments. You mentioned about 2-3 arguments in your guest article, but that is not enough, since they have about 20-30 arguments ready for the doubting people.
This was deffenately what drew me towards Judaism, and if it wasn’t because the internet was invented, I could easily have ended up in a yeshiva.

Dear Dan–
We congratulate you on having recognized the shabby foundations and the trickery of Orthodox Jewish outreach. Beside the “Letter to My Rabbi,” which appears on our site in the “Guest Articles” category, we recommend the site http://www.TalkReason.org, featuring a number of essays that are relevant to the topic you mentioned. (On that site’s main page, go to the categories “Autopsy of the Bible Code,” “Science and Religion,” “Historical Notes,” and “Counter-Apologetics” to see the essays listed under those categories.)
If you are willing to write an essay dealing with the 12 arguments you mentioned, we would gladly consider including it in our “Guest Articles” category.
Best regards,
Daat Emet
